What is The Frontline Project?
The Frontline Project is an artistic response to the Fortitude and Selflessness of Key Workers during the Covid-19 outbreak, as well as the community spirit and support that has been seen up and down the streets of the country.
To do this, we collaborated with Artist Danny Coyne who produced a beautifully arresting image made up of Key Working roles during the pandemic. The image, firstly appeared online on a website built by Happy Thought Creative, containing stories from local Key Workers.
The image was then mounted as a mural in Leamington as a piece of public art that is both emotionally and aesthetically stimulating; an opportunity to take solace in how, in a time of need, the community rallied and supported those who continued to put their lives in danger for others. It will take us back to that feeling we had on our doorsteps on Thursday evenings, clapping alongside neighbours or when we heard the stories of bus drivers, carers of delivery workers being taken too soon after contracting the virus.
