About Martina

Martina completed a BSc in Sport Science and an MA in performance before becoming professional dancer in 2007. She has performed nationally and internationally with various dance companies and has spent 7 years performing with internationally renowned dance-circus and aerial company Motionhouse.

Her professional dance career gave her the opportunity to experience the challenges of delivering performances of high standards on a daily bases and the stresses that this kind of pressure can put on the individual. This is when she discovered yoga and mindfulness techniques and started combining these to prepare her body and mind for optimal performance. She devised a routine that would help her finding a calm, centred presence to achieve performance flow: a state of effortless efficacy.

Since then she has thought yoga and mindfulness practices in dance companies as a way to enhancing performance and managing stress. In the last 2 year she has also worked as Assistant Director on various large scale outdoor spectacles combining aerial dance and large community cast.

Martina retired from performing in 2019 and continues working with different organisations combining yoga and mindfulness to promote wellbeing at work.

In February 2019 she graduated from the Clore Leadership Emerging Leaders course and in June 2019 she completed the Leadership Through Influence Programme with Arts Connect.

She also completed a Level 2 in Counselling Skills from Warwick University  before becoming a qualified Relational Dynamics Coach accredited through Culture at Work. (equivalent to ILM level 7)

She is passionate about helping individuals finding authenticity and balance in the workplace by using coaching as a tool to elicit clarity of direction and personal development.
